NEW CURRICULA
In the spring 2005 the Faculty of Kinesiology prepared the new study curricula of the graduate study of kinesiology and of the postgraduate doctoral study of kinesiology in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. The Faculty received the accreditations to commence with the implementation of graduate study (Master’s degree, five-year) in the 2005/06 academic year in August 2006 the Faculty of Kinesiology was among first faculties at the University of Zagreb which received the accreditations to commence with the postgraduate doctoral study alligned with the Bologna process, lasting six semester. The first generation enrolled on their study of kinesiology in 2006/07.
In the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 many renovations have been done at the Faculty in order to improve teaching and research standards – the new amphitheatrical lecture room with 210 places has been built, the old amphitheatre has been renovated, 9 new teacher’ offices has been built and several renovated, four lecture rooms has been renovated, sports hall for gymnastics has been renovated and equpped with the most recent apparatuses, sport hall for rhythmic gymnastics has been rebuilt, as well as the one for sports games, new Registrars Offices have been opened on new locations and in new offices, book store and fotocopy shop has been opened, the whole library and reeding rooms have been renovated and re-equipped. Audio-visual, teaching equipment and informatical infrastructure and equipment has been renovated and reconstructed; intranet and internet connections have been modernized and prepared for future enlargements; many new devices and machines for laboratories, as well as numerous personal computors (four-year cycle) have been provided.
