Our project has recently become a part of a large global scientific initiative based on tracking global prevalence of risk factors of noncommunicable chronic diseases. NCD RisC, led by prof. Majid Ezzati from the Imperial College London, closely cooperates with the World Health Organization and includes scientists from almost 200 countries worldwide. Two recent publications estimated global prevalence of obesity and high blood pressure and were published in one of the most prestigious scientific journals The Lancet, are based on our data also.
