Title: Assistant
Mateja Očić, PhD, is employed as an Assistant at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, in the Laboratory for Sports Games. She also teaches courses in Basic Kinesiological Transformations and Biomechanics, as well as several elective courses.
She actively participates in the design and implementation of basic and specific testing protocols across different sports, with a focus on diagnostics of athletes’ fitness and performance. Her research interests include biomechanical analysis, particularly in the areas of kinematics and kinetics, as well as the evaluation of training methods and skill acquisition aimed at improving athletes’ motor knowledge. She is the author and co-author of several scientific and professional papers and regularly participates in scientific and professional conferences in the field of kinesiology.
She earned her PhD in 2023 at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, with the thesis “The influence of ski helmet and goggles on the visual field and reaction time.”
