Sports Club for Health 2020-22...

An international project entitled Creating Mechanisms for Continuous Implementation of the Sports Club for Health Guidelines in the European Union (SCforH 2020-22) has been launched at a kick-off meeting held on the 7th of February in Zagreb, Croatia.

 

This 3-year long project is funded by a European Union Erasmus+ Collaborative Partnerships grant of 398.845 Euro, and it includes 18 partner institutions from 13 countries. The overarching aim of the project is to increase participation in sport and physical activity in the European Union by encouraging sports clubs and associations to implement Sport Clubs for Health principles in their activities.

This ongoing Europe-wide initiative was started in 2008 and has since received three consecutive grants from the European Union. It is one of the largest European initiatives in the area of sport and health. The SCforH 2020-22 is led by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Kinesiology.
