ONGOING PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS:

Sisak FIT

The SISAK FIT project, implemented in Sisak since 2023, represents a systematic program for monitoring the physical and motor development of preschool and school-age children. The project brings together students from the Kinesiotherapy program who, under the supervision of Associate Professor Tatjana Trošt, PhD, actively participate in measuring motor abilities and assessing postural deviations in preschool and school-age children.

As part of the project, during 2023, 2024, and 2025, students regularly traveled to Sisak, where, through one-week field activities, they conducted posture assessments of preschool and school-age children.

The SISAK FIT project and its results serve as a foundation for improving children’s physical activity and health, as well as for strengthening cooperation between the academic and local community, with the aim of creating better conditions for the growth and development of preschool and primary school children.

This project also resulted in the Rector’s Award for the academic year 2023/2024 awarded to student Vid Kučak for the paper titled Motor Abilities as Predictors of Postural Deviations in Preschool Children, as well as several graduate theses.
